His father Neil had been one of the clubs first students back in 1991. Adam has had the great honour of training with Hanshi Steve Arneil, 10th Dan.
He has entered many tournaments including Knockdown, Clicker and Kata and always performed very well. He is a very dedicated student and was rewarded for his hard work when he achieved his 1st Dan Black Belt in 2016.
He qualified as a Tournament Judge in 2016. In August 2018 after a very hard and demanding 4 days training and an eight hour grading exam, Sempai Adam was awarded his 2nd Dan Black Belt by Hanshi Steve Arneil, 10th Dan, World Chief Instructor of the International Federation of Karate Kyokushinkai.
Sempai Jag Takk 2nd Dan
Instructor
Sempai Jag first started Kyokushinkai Karate training at the age of ten in the 1980's, where he attained the level of green belt. Five years ago he joined the Sevenoaks Kyokushinkai Karate Club.
Although Sempai Jag acknowledges that the training can be intense and physically demanding, for him it is always euphoric. He feels that he has reached personal fitness levels that he did not believe possible, assisted by Shihan Ray's outstanding experience and knowledge of the martial way. Sempai Jag, now in his forties, feels fitter and stronger than ever before.
He appreciates that all the students and instructors at the club are kind, caring and friendly, where new members, of any level of fitness or ability, always integrate easily and become part of the club.
Sempai Jag has attended many national and international training seminars over the years and is a qualified tournament judge. He has also competed in many tournaments himself.
